Wishcompany Expands Klairs’ Philosophy into Art with the Launch of the “Dear Klairs Artist Prize”
Klairs has announced the launch of the “Dear Klairs Artist Prize”, a brand art project that extends Klairs’ philosophy of “Respect Your Sensitivity” into the realm of art.
The Dear Klairs Artist Prize is an annual program designed to discover and support emerging artists who view the world through a refined and sensitive lens. The initiative aims to reinterpret Klairs’ core value of “respecting sensitivity” through artistic expression, connecting the brand’s identity with the emotional depth of contemporary art.
The project is presented in collaboration with A-Lounge Contemporary, a gallery known for discovering and supporting young, contemporary artists. Each year, one emerging artist will be selected to receive a ₩10 million creative grant and an exhibition opportunity. For the inaugural edition, painter and visual artist Cho Hyori (b.1992) has been selected.
Cho, who graduated from Hongik University’s Department of Painting and the Korea National University of Arts’ School of Visual Arts, is based in Seoul and is known for her works that capture the subtle emotions between the familiar and the unfamiliar through symbolic objects and sensuous imagery.
Later this month, Klairs will release an interview teaser video with Cho Hyori on the Dear Klairs Artist Prize official website and social media channels. In this project, Cho presents a new painting series titled “Insomnia,” inspired by the emotions and imagery that arise in sleepless nights. “I wanted to paint the sensations and thoughts that surface in the dark — the moments when emotions feel most alive,” she shares. “Insomnia is painful, yet it’s also when sensitivity awakens. I hope my work becomes an image that comforts solitude, like a late-night radio.”
Cho Hyori’s completed works will be unveiled and exhibited at Klairs Seoul, the brand’s flagship store in Sinsa-dong, in the first half of 2026.
A Wishcompany representative stated, “Klairs has always embraced not only the sensitivity of the skin but also the sensitivity of perception — the ability to view the world with delicacy and awareness. Through the Dear Klairs Artist Prize, we aim to grow beyond skincare into a brand that bridges beauty, art, and sensibility.”
