Klairs gets Fancy – literally.

This past October, Seoul-based skincare brand made another step into the mainstream US market by opening up shop on rising social e-commerce platform, The Fancy.

What is Fancy?

For those of you that are familiar with Fancy, you’ve probably been stuck in a vortex of scrolling and scrolling through an endless list of amazing, eye-catching products from around the world – probably until your thumb’s are calling out in pain.

For those of you unfamiliar with Fancy, you probably understood nothing said above.

In essence, Fancy is a hybrid of all of your favorite social media platforms like Tumblr, Facebook and Pinterest, meshed with the direct shopping services of platforms like Amazon. Users can upload photos of gadgets, products, places and more to share with a community of millions of users on The Fancy, or “fancy” photos and products uploaded from official retailers on The Fancy.

How did the public respond?

Now with people looking beyond their borders  for the next best thing, Klairs accumulated many new fans from around the world on their Fancy shop. In just a couple of months since their official launch, close to 1000 individuals followed their store, with 850+ “fancies” on all of their items.

Featured on their “Expore” page was the Mochi BB Cushion, which drew in much interest from users for its cute exterior and proposition of a new type of beauty in the form of a hand-held cushion, not entirely familiar for those outside of the realm of K-Beauty.

Soon after, the Gentle Black Sugar Charcoal Soap was featured on Fancy’s “Featured” page, among a collection of other great products.

In conjunction with the special mentioned Klairs received from Fancy, it came to no surprise as the Supple Preparation Facial Toner rose as the most popular item in the store, followed by the Klairs staple: the Rich Moist Soothing Cream.

However, also quickly rising on the Fancy radar was the Midday Blue Calming Cream. Captivating the audience with its unique formula and sleek design, Fancy recommended the sun lotion in their weekly newsletter as a must-have travel pick.
